Turquoise Delight Birthday card.

Hope everyone is well and enjoying their week. Its Friday already isn't it? clocks go forward this weekend so an hour less in bed. I'm in work at 6am Sunday as normal so ill be extra tired with losing an hour, oh well cant be helped. However, for me - a Wrestling fan, its a big weekend as its Wrestlemania weekend with Wrestlemania 31 live on the WWE Network this Sunday night/Monday morning. Plenty of energy juice will be consumed. Anyway, enough of that.
Here, I have made an 8x8" card using many different companies products and combined them all. Simply sticking to 2 main colours as well as a touch of black really makes the card stand out. I am loving turquoise just now and use it often, it really does create a simple yet elegant card with the White Hammered card. I don't often use micra powder but having a large stash of it, I am trying to use it more and include different elements in my cards and my makes. Its all about fun, have fun with what your using and what your creating, that's what's its all about - FUN.

Love is all around - Wedding Anniversary

Morning.
 Hope you all had a lovey weekend. Can't believe we are at Monday again not to mention the clocks going forward this weekend. Bring on the spring and summer.
 As you will see, I have been having fun with my dies lately. Especially the couture dies by create and craft. I really do love them, especially the adoring collection that I have. There's just so much versatility in them. It's one of those collections where you start to make one card and another idea pops in your head.
 With this one, I done some paper piecing. You will see the Center heart has some black in it. I cut the main heart shape and attached it to the ruby red card. But I cut another heart out in black and the die cut bits that would be waste, I placed some of them back into the main design. It just adds abit more interests and dimention when looked at close up.
 You really can go all out with these Dies.
 The products I have used to create this card are below;

Ivory linen card 255gsm (+ insert)

Say it With Love

Hello there. Oh it's been chilly as of late, I thought we were getting into the spring time not the autumn winter. Hopefully the nice warm wether is on its ways very soon. Can't wait to get back to crafting with my craft room door open wide, looking out into my garden and the music on loud. Not that my garden is much to look out onto. I could do with a ground force make over, It can look like a jungle sometimes in the summer if I don't try keep the grass under control.
 Sometimes it's nice to send a simple but elegant card to who you want to know your thinking of, wishing a happy birthday or just wanting to send them some love. I feel this card really does that. It's made only using 3 colours. Keeping it to 2 or 3 set colours can help make it look simple but elegant. There is plenty of need of cards that are full of colour and embellishments and bling but it's also nice to keep it simple using set colours such as this card. I love using black to great and a small Matt and layer outline. It just draws the eye in and makes each individual element standout.
 Such a lovely card to be given for many occasions.
 The products I have used are below;

Spring has Sprung.

TJust when you think the spring is starting to come, here comes the rain, wind and snow! Lease the nights are getting lighter for longer. Noticing a big difference, before I would leave my craft room about half 4 for me tea and it would be dark outside. Now, when I come back into my craft room once Iv had my tea at about 6ish, it's still day light. It's nice to be able to look out the window while crafting and still see the day light.
 With spring hopefully on its way I have made this bright and cheery card using Papermill Directs card stock, Dovecrafts basic paper pad and of course Stix2 anything adhesive. Papermill direct card stock is strong enough to be used as the card base itself as I have done with this card. I have used the whole A4 Mocha brown card as the card base by folding it in half. With the insert I have printed it on to white super smooth card and matted and layered it on to the Daffodil Yellow card that I have used on the front of the card so it ties the whole card in together. Although the Mocha brown can be quite rough, the bright yellow really brings the whole card in together. Really helping to enhance the finished card.
 It's a great card that can be used as a birthday card, thinking of you card or even a get well soon card. It can basically be used for any occasion you wish.
 The products I have used are below;

Papermill Direct;
 Mocha brown plain card - 240gsm
 Daffodils yellow smooth card - 240gsm
 White Supersmooth card - 300Gsm

 Low tack masking tape - S56994

All My Love - Dies by Sue Wilson.

Hope everyone is well, have been trying to spend more time using dies to make cards and projects. I seen Sue Wilson with these dies the other month on Create and Craft and I just fell instantly in love with them. Its the first time I have ever bought or used Creative Expression dies. I can see myself being addicted to them, especially Sue Wilson's own range. These are the Scandinavian Collection. What's great is there are 4 sets in the collection and all of them mix and match together, to me this just expends the capability so far and beyond. Its one of those collections when you start to make a card, your mind instantly starts wondering and you think I could do this, change it that way and do it that way. Basically the ideas just keep coming.
Of course it couldn't of been a card without the help of Stix2 anything and PaperMill Direct. all 3 are a match made in heaven - well I think so anyway.

Craig.

A little bit of love with Yankee Candle.

Good morning. Hope your all well and keeping warm. It's been very cold hasn't it. Although we have only had a light flutter of snow here in Scotland, well in my town anyway. It doesn't lie long when we do get it as we have the beach so the salty air helps melt it.
 We all know that a side from crafting, I have a big passion for Yankee Candle, I adore the brand and the range of fragrances that they do. So real to life. When I burn the small votive candles, I keep the labels, I can't throw them out. So had to work out what to make with them. I came up with this idea of an apiture heart with the labels popping through. Ofcourse I couldn't of done this with out the help of Stix2 adhesives and now ofcourse PaperMill Direct card stock.
 The products I have used are;

Hunkydory's "Butterfly Bouquet" Collection

I have written the following off my own back. This is my feeling and pride regarding Hunkydory. Nothing is going on between myself and Hunkydory crafts. I just felt I would write this blog post about Hunkydory crafts because many do ask me why I love the brand.

When it comes to paper craft collections then in my opinion you don't get any bigger or better than Hunkydory Crafts. I say paper craft collections but it's it's more like card at 350gsm for the background card and 300gms for the topper sheets, these 2 with the mix of Adorable Scorable & exceptional foiling is a recipe for perfection. That's not all, you can then add on elements included with certain collections such as encapsulated glitter, pearlescent card and even foiled acetate. These are just some elements that make not only the Hunkydory Crafts Brands a success but also in my view, makes the Hunkydory team some of the most hard working team/family in the crafting industry. They strive to give the crafting universe what they want and not only when they want it but before us crafters even know we want it to ensure they are ahead of the race for when it comes to seasonal and yearly trends.
One of the other elements Hunkydory are famed for when it comes to their collections are the concept card elements. Their standard "and I say that loosely" collections enable us crafters to go crazy with our imagination and create cards and projects to how ever we want. The Hunkydory team back at Hunkydory Towers and on the DT (including myself) work hard to offer a range of ideas for crafters to get started whether we are beginners or seasoned crafters and also should we be unsure of where to start when we receive our collection. The variety of ideas given stem from ideas leaflets, on screen demos, website tutorials, social media including the likes of Twitter, Pinterest and of course facebook. Where as their fun and quirky concept cards and projects are there to add just that - fun and also a different spin on the collection. It enables you to create a card or project that is a 3D model and creates movement. However the concept card expand even more if you use them in a way they were not intended for. Strip them back and use the main elements to create you own unique card that was originally designed to be created a specific way.
 The list of possibilities are endless with What you can create. When you start to bring in their adorable scorable, diamond sparkles, paper pads, ribbons all to name a few the hours, weeks and months of fun you can have is quite simply mind blowing. Origami with their double sided papers, gift boxes, frames and everything else you think of.
 The Hunkydory Crafts brand and the Hunkydory family really do go all out to offer you not only top quality, not only value for money but also versatility in every single collection they bring to us crafters.
 This is why I adore and love the Hunkydory brand and the products they bring. I will continue to be honoured and have pleasure of being on Hunkydorys Design Team for aslong as they will have me but also for as long as I'm crafting, Hunkydory will always be part of my crafting life.
