Valentines with the help of Stix2 & PaperMill.

Is it me or had this month been the longest January ever, well the longest month ever. It's dragged, but we are coming to the end and the first big occasion of the year coming up in Febuary is Valentines Day.  It's another occasion that is getting bigger and bigger over here in the UK. If your lucky you will received a valentines card from your loved one this year or maybe an unknown?
 I had such great news yesterday that was being asked to be apart of PaperMill Directs design team. PaperMill products have even products/card stock Iv used for many years now but it is recently Iv used them in near every project and card I create. The variety and quality is exceptional and I urge everyone to log onto PaperMill directs website where you can try some of their products, you will fall in love with them, I promise. They have the most gorgeous hammered white and Ivory card should you be making wedding invites or wedding stationary. This year I will be making my friends wedding invites which will be made with a complete combination of PaperMill and Stix2 products.
 Going back to valentines, I made this card last night which is an A5 card where the card blank is PaperMill A4 super smooth card folded in half with a score board. The score is perfect and crack free. It's a simple cards that is all based around matting and layering with a tad bit of stamping, die cutting and embossing. Many ask what the font is called I use on most of cards and it's in Microsoft word and it's called Freehand 591BT.

Mothers Day Lavender Rose framed gift.

Afternoon. Well I think it's safe to say that we are most definatly not in Kansas any more! This wind is some of the worse wind weather I have ever seen. Everything is being blown about! Half expect to see a cow go flying by!
 Despite the wind, I have been crafting away using one of my all time favourite Kanban collection that way designed and put together by a good friend of mine - Dawn wheeler. The Paris/European elements combined with the pink and lilac with hints of silver thorough out the collection just gives it that extra elegance & luxury feel.
 When it comes to the frame, I bought it from a high street store. It has a wood grain effect so I took Milled Lavendar distress ink pad and just rubbed my finger in it gently rubbed it into the "nooks" & "Crannies" to gives it a colourful vintage feel.

Valentine's with a touch of love.

Morning, so we are roughly 1 month away from Valentines Day. Not that long ago I was making christmas and all of a sudden we are here with valentines.
 At christmas after a year of debating, I plucked up the courge and bought the Brother Scan N Cut. I was always thinking would I used or would it just sit there. Im not great with computers and thought if I did use it then I'd only use the machine itself. How wrong I was, I love it and I'm flying high playing with it and downloading SVG files on line with no problem atol.

 I have made this 8x8 card combining Scan N Cut and Stix2 adhesives new valentines range.

I downloaded a heartbackground shape online and cut it out using stix2 sparkly red card and matted and layered it onto White hammered card stock. Then onto a 8x8 card base.

I also downloaded the LOVE shape and cut that out with white hammered card from Papermill direct. Then matted and layered on white hammered card and then onto silver mirri.

I added 2 die cut bird shapes, turning one around to face the other way and gave it a slight spray using spray & sparkle to match in with the sparky red background card.

Tied a bow using 16mm satin red ribbon and addtached it to the top left hand corner of the love.

Added a few red pearls and it's done.

The products I have used are as followed;
Stix2 products;

9mm double sided tape - FPAL2732950.
Pva glue with metal tip - S56890.
Silicone glue - S57100.
Layer perfect metric - S57321.
12mmx12mmx3mm foam pads - S57041.
Pick up pencil - S57265.
non stick craft sheet - S57132.
16mm red satin ribbon - S57209.
Sparkly red card - SGBCA4REDCARD.
Die cut bird shape - S57326.
8x8 cello bag - K624.

Happy New Year photo frame using Stix2

Afternoon, Hope everyone is well and had a happy new year as well as a great christmas. It seems like a while back now. The decs are down, the tree is down and life is back to normal. Now that 2015 is here, its time to get cracking with projects i want to get made.

First off this frame project -

The products i have used are;

Stix2 products;
6mm Red liner tape - S57090.
6mm Double sided tape - FPAL2732625.
Hot glue gun - S57234.
Hot glue gun sticks - S57235.
Perfect layer Metric - S57321.
Craft sheet - S57132.

Additional products;
Dark duck egg textured card - Bazzill Basics.
White textured card (x2) - Bazzill Basics.
Duck egg box photo frame - High street store.
Coloured decorative stones - High street store.
Hook clips - Diy or craft store.
Hook screw - Diy store.

-

Taken your first sheet of White card and cut to 8 1/4" x 10"
Your Duck egg card cut to 7 1/2" x 9"
Your 2nd White card to 7" x 9 3/4

-

Mat and layer your card stock and roughly position your coloured stone on your mat so you have an idea on where they sit. Tip is to take a picture of it so when it comes to sticking them down, you can refer to your photo.

-

Assemble your frame back together again with your mat and layers behind the glass.

-

The inside of this frame measures 8" across so i measured half way in at 4" and then 1/4" into the frame and made a mark.

-

Refer to your photo and using your Hot glue gun and glue stick attach your coloured stones onto the glass panel frame. There's no need to hold the stones down as they already have a bit of weight to them so that will help secure the stone down.

-

Now take your hook screw and screw it into where you have made your mark. You will need to press firmly when turning the screw hook. You may find it easier to do this before you attach the stones.

-

Once the hook screw is in place, simply hook on your hook clip.

-

Taken your chosen photo and matt and layer it onto matching card stock (optional) and grip into place using the hook clip and let it free hang.

-

Hope you like what i have made, any questions please feel free to message myself. or if you have any Stix2 enquires feel free to contact them.
Thank you

Craig
